Tessa Farrell is a film actress, director, screenwriter and co-pioneer of smartphone filmmaking best known for her reoccurring appearance on Entourage and her latest film... the 11-time award-winning indie sensation, Cinema Rebel. Tessa was born in Scottsdale, Arizona to Catherine McGinley, a real estate agent at the McGinley Group, and Scott Farrell, a thriller novelist under the pen name Scott Falcon. Tessa has one younger sister, Kelsey, and two younger half brothers, Ryan and Shane. Tessa is mainly European with small traces of Native American, Asian and African ancestry.
Tessa had a normal childhood attending public schools and advanced in academics, soccer, dance and choir. Upon graduating from Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas, Tessa went to film school at The University of Texas in Austin. After earning a bachelor's degree in Radio-TV-Film, Tessa moved to Hollywood to pursue her true love... movies. Tessa quickly landed a recurring appearance on Entourage as a supermodel and caught the eye of actor Ty Granderson Jones, known for his roles: Blade in Con Air and 40 Dog in CB4. Considering her a hidden gem, Ty dusted off a script he wrote a few years prior and asked Tessa to play the lead role, Diamond. Tessa loved the character, an assassin seeking soul redemption, and took the part. Tessa's "compelling, charismatic and graceful" performance secured her a nomination for Best Female Action Performer of the Year in the International Action on Film Festival.
While continuing her studies at various acting studios and auditioning for TV and movie roles, Tessa developed special interests in psychology, sociology, spirituality and global culture which later evolved into a mission to make a difference in the world and become more than a traditional film actress. Tessa grew unsatisfied with the content she was auditioning for and transformed into a passionate film auteur driven to create groundbreaking content. This motivation combined with a burning desire to do something in film that's never been done before lead to the one-of-a-kind record-setting film, Cinema Rebel.
